John Pickar – Senior Sales Consultant
John, aka Johnny Bizhub, is a Duluth native born and raised, a 1982 Duluth East graduate, and 1986 UMD graduate. As the Senior Sales Consultant for Great Lakes he reaches out from the Duluth and Superior area including Cloquet, south to Hinckley , North to Two Harbors, and into northern Wisconsin from Superior to Iron River, Brule, and Ashland. As an outdoorsman John enjoys hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. John notes the vital role the positive attitude of his team members is what allows them to work effectively as a team, with everyone implementing their specialties. He is proud to provide customers with the #1 product line in the world with Konica Minolta Bizhub.
Bonnie Koepp – Our Local Voice
Bonnie has lived in the region since 1988. she began working with Rick Karlon when he started Copytek, She is the friendly voice that answers the phone and dispatches service calls to the team. She became a full time member of Great Lakes in 2000. She is the proud mother of 5 boys and has 9 grandchildren. Bonnie enjoys the the opportunity of getting to know customers over the phone and seeing how they are doing from day to day. In her free time she likes to garden, and whip up her famous chocolate chip cookies. She enjoys listening to books on her daily rides to and from her home in Lake Nebagamon.
Rick Karlon - Founder, Service Technician
Rick started Great Lakes Office Solutions in 1994. His long time industry experience makes him a pro with Multifunctional Copiers, Printers, Fax and Wide Format equipment. His favorite part of servicing customers is interacting with them personally while striving to provide prompt solutions. He enjoys golf and all water activities when he’s not providing premier service to customers. As a lifetime resident of Superior you may run into him with his wife and kids.
David Ribich - Co-Owner, Service Technician
David was born and raised on the Iron Range in Hibbing, MN. He received training from the Control Data Institute in Minneapolis and moved to Duluth in 1988. Although David is the newest member of the Great Lakes team, he brings over 30 years of experience servicing office equipment, specializing in high volume black and white and color printing solutions. His hobbies include hunting, archery, woodworking, mechanics, and all things outdoors, especially during cabin season. He has called Hermantown home since 1991 which allows him to offer a quick response time to local customers.
Jeff McKay - Co-Owner, Service Technician
Jeff has lived in the Twin Ports for the last 40 years. He has been serving the Twin Ports region with Great Lakes for the last 15 years. Jeff enjoys being part of a small local team giving him the flexibility of on the fly decision making. He specializes in working on Konica Minolta, Canon, Oce, Ricoh, and HP. You will see him most in Cloquet and serving Duluth and Proctor.
